DRAMATIC pictures showing Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) firefighters tackling a car fire on Friday (June 30) have been released.
One crew from Whitchurch was sent to The Raven Inn, in Heath Road near the A41 and A49 in Prees Heath, on Friday evening after reports of a car on fire.
Pictures show that much of the front of the end of the vehicle, believed to be a white Audi, was destroyed, with firefighters wearing breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.
They also used a hose reel jet.
A SFRS spokesman: "A car fire involving one saloon vehicle fully involved in fire.
"Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish."
