A TOWN swimming pool is set to reopen in time for the new school term in September.
The pool at the Wem Swimming and Lifestyle Centre, in Bowensfield, is currently empty and undergoing repairs on the pool liner.
A spokesperson for Wem Town Council, which operates the pool, says the work is upgrading the facility for people of all ages in the town.
And they added that school swimming lessons will be returning to the pool in time for the new term.

They said: “Wem Town Council recognises how important the Wem Swimming and Lifestyle Centre is to the community and as a result is committed to upgrading the facilities.
“Over the summer we are installing a pool liner.
“It is anticipated that the pool will be back up and running in September in time for essential school swimming lessons to start again.”
