A SERIES of pop-up youth spaces will appear in Whitchurch over the summer months.
Shropshire Council's youth support team will be providing exciting spaces for young people across the county.
Running throughout August, the vibrant spaces offer youths aged 11 and above a chance to come together, unwind, and immerse themselves in a diverse array of enjoyable activities.
For Whitchurch the events will take place at the Jubilee Park, Sherrymill Hill, on August 8 from 3pm to 6pm, offering football coaching among others.
In Wem, the recreational ground in Aston Street will be the place to be on August 16 and 24, for more activities.
Kirstie Hurst-Knight, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for children and education, said: “These spaces are a fantastic opportunity for young people to join in a host of activities and an opportunity to socialise and relax with friends.”
The jam-packed schedule includes thrilling martial arts sessions, creative arts and crafts, pizza-making adventures, music exploration, and engaging sports activities like 'Embrace' and photography.
To ensure a memorable experience for all children, free food and drinks will be provided.
While the sessions welcome children and young people aged 11 to 18, those aged 11-12 must present a signed consent form from a parent or guardian.
