MUSIC and theatre events taking place before, during and after in various venues around Whitchurch around the Blackberry Fair in October have been announced.
The events will take place at venues all around the town from late September through to mid-October.
A spokesman for ’Sugar Fiddle on the Fringe’ said there was plenty for people to enjoy across all the various events.
“Enjoy the wonderful wide range of music, theatre and storytelling and be aware of the wide range of venues. Do check what is where as we are moving around the town,” they said.
“It looks like a lively time for Whitchurch and we hope people get on board and have fun attending things maybe they wouldn’t usually.”
The great art and entertainment begins at The Talbot Theatre, Whitchurch Leisure Centre at Sir John Talbot’s School on Saturday, September 23 at 8pm.
North Shropshire Folk will host ‘The Paul McKenna Band’, which draws on both Scottish and Irish roots with fiddle, pipes, whistles, banjo, bouzouki, guitars and vocals, it promises to be a lively night.
Then Arts Alive provide a brilliant double bill of two funny, heart- warming plays ‘The Yorkshire Kernel’ and ‘The Land Girl’ by Badapple Theatre Company at the same venue on Friday, September 29 at 8pm.

A move to Whitchurch Rugby and Hockey Club on Wednesday, October 4 at 7.30pm sees a fantastic evening of music and storytelling ‘Mountain Music’ by Little Bulb and Farnham Maltings.
A Blackberry Fair/Arts Alive event, it takes its audience on a journey of musical migration to the birth of what is now called Country Music.
JFK has been shot. What Happens now? Find out at ‘The Bobby Kennedy Experience’ which is being performed by Russell Lucas at Whitchurch Civic Centre on Thursday, October 12 at 7.30pm. Another Arts Alive event, it is described as ‘an intriguing, thought-provoking play’.

Finally there is another North Shropshire Folk gig with duo Hannah Sanders and Ben Savage back at Whitchurch Leisure Centre (SJT) on Friday, October 13 at 8pm.
