A BEAUTY salon in Whitchurch has been nominated for two prestigious country-wide awards.

Lily’s Beauty Salon, in High Street, Whitchurch has been nominated as a finalist for both The English Beauty Industry Awards and the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) 2023.

Yasmin Brassington was nominated for Waxing Therapist and the team for the Small Salon awards for the BABTAC’s and for the English Awards they were also listed as finalists for the five-star Make-up Salon of the Year and also Make-up Team of the Year.

Gemma Holt, owner of the business, said this feels ‘fantastic’ and that it has been ‘lovely to be recognised’.

She added: “It feels amazing to be recognised in the beauty industry.

“We do a lot on social media and we do not like catering to trends so I think this set us apart from other beauty salons.

“We also try our best to help our clients feel like the best version of themselves.”

Lily’s Salon has been in business since 2014, so for nine years they have been working hard to reach the standards they have been nominated for.

The business has been in the High Street for three years, and Gemma said that ever since they started they “stayed true to who we are” without “following the gimmicks”.

“Client feedback also helps a lot”, she added “We have regular clients and we are very happy.”

The English Beauty Industry Awards 2023-Midlands Edition is set to honour the professionals and businesses that have showcased exceptional talent, dedication, and innovation in the beauty sector.

The awards ceremony for BABTAC will take place on September 17 at The Fairmont Windsor Park for the second year in the row.
