A NORTH Shropshire man who took a car without consent was punished with a 12-month community order at court on Tuesday (October 10).
Daniel Jones, 29, of Grosvenor Cottages, in Ellesmere, pleaded guilty to three charges including aggravated vehicle taking and damage under the value of £5,000.
He also pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle not in accordance with the class he was authorised to and also driving without insurance, all on September 25 this year.

For the aggravated vehicle taking, Jones was given a 12-month community order and was ordered to undertake 80 hours of unpaid work.
He was banned from the road for 12 months and was ordered to pay costs of £135 and a £114 community order charge.
The defendant received no separate penalty for the incorrect licence and insurances charges.
