AN OPTICIANS store in Whitchurch has set up a recycling bank for people who want to dispose of their old glasses.
Store manager Jenny Hardern at Specsavers Whitchurch, in Brownlow Street, has proudly announced the business was able to respond to customer concerns over what to do with redundant frames.
She said that they have partnered with a recycling firm in order to provide the service for their customers.
“Here at Specsavers in Whitchurch we have had so many local people asking where they can recycle glasses, and now the answer is here,” said Jenny.

“We have partnership with MyGroup who we will be sending customers old glasses too to be recycled.
“These can be brought into their store at any time.
“We have had so many customers asking about this, so we are delighted to announce this is a now a service we can provide.
“Pop in anytime with your old specs – we really look forward to seeing you, from all of us here at Specsavers Whitchurch.”
