A HOST of Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) crews were called out to a road traffic collision on the A41 near Whitchurch on Wednesday.
Five crews, including from Whitchurch and Prees, were sent to Sandford stretch of the major road at around 3.20pm after reports of a person trapped in their vehicle.
It came after a collision between two cars and a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) which left one person trapped.

Firefighters from Wellington and Market Drayton were also called to the scene and a SFRS spokesman said that cutters were used.
They added: “Crews used the cutters to deal with the incident.
“Also at the scene of the incident were: the Air Ambulance, the Land Ambulance Service and the police.

A stop message was sent to SFRS control at around 4pm confirming no further assistance was needed.
Traffic is queueing as the road is still partially blocked, according to highways monitor Inrix.
