FIREFIGHTERS in Cheshire were called out to tackle a chimney blaze on Wednesday night.
One crew from the village was sent to Church Street shortly before 10pm after reports of the fire.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said firefighters were able to reach the fire in time.
They added: "Firefighters attended a fire which was contained to the chimney breast and fireplace surround.
"Crews put out the fire by dampening the area down and removing surrounding wood work."
