THE owners of a farm in Prees Heath have submitted plans to build a new agricultural building at their property.
The application, for the building to cover a yard and also for it to be resurfaced, is for Crabtree Farm, in Prees Heath and was submitted on Monday.
Applicants Stan and Audrey Richards are cattle farmers and a design and access statement was submitted by Peter Richards and Co on their behalf.

It said: “The agricultural enterprise is a successful mixed holding managing a suckler herd of cattle alongside fodder production.
“The site is currently an area of agricultural yard used for feeding cattle and storage of farmyard manure.
“The erection of a building to cover this yard would more efficient management of dirty water, negating the current situation where rainwater run off the yard, thus allowing clean water run off to remain separate.
“The existing impermeable yard will also be resurfaced to ensure it can also allow optimum clean water run-off.”
It added that the Prees Heath site of specific scientific interest (SSSI) is around 250 metres away from the farm, but said the work would have ecological impact.
It said: “The proposed works is considered to have a benefit on wider the local ecology as the development will allow efficient management of dirty water from the existing yard.”
The statement said all equipment and materials used for the work will be based on firm, compacted ground and work will be undertaken before the project starts to minimise any movement of newts on the land.
It concluded: “The applicants operate an established farming enterprise from the subject site.
