FIREFIGHTERS from two stations in Whitchurch were sent to a false alarm in the early hours of Friday.
One crew from Whitchurch was joined by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) colleagues from Prees at a call for Newbrook Close at around 2.25am.
A SFRS spokesman said the call out proved to be a false alarm.

They said: “Two fire appliances were mobilised from Prees and Whitchurch.
“Report of domestic smoke alarm activating within property.
“Following full inspection of property this was a false alarm caused by a system fault.”
A stop message confirming the false alarm and that no further assistance was required was sent to SFRS control at 2.45am.
