A TUMBLE dryer fire prompted Whitchurch firefighters to be called out on Wednesday – but it was already out on arrival.
One crew from the town was sent to Mill Park, in Whitchurch, at 3.45pm after reports of the appliance ablaze.
A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokesman confirmed no action was needed when firefighters arrived.
They said: “It was reports of a tumble dryer fire which was out on arrival of crews.”
A stop message was sent to SFRS control shortly after 4pm.
