A Whitchurch shop owner has been named young entrepreneur of the year at a recent awards ceremony.
Maddie Ashbrook, Director and co-owner of MOO and BOOM and JB and BOOM, has been honoured with the prestigious title of West Midlands Federation of Small Businesses’ Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
This recognition highlights Maddie's “outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship, sustainability, and community engagement”.
"The heart of our community and the well-being of our customers are at the core of everything we do," says Maddie Ashbrook.
"We believe that sustainable business practices are not only good for the planet but also essential for fostering thriving, resilient communities. I am deeply honored to receive this award, and I am grateful for the opportunity to represent our region at the upcoming celebration in Blackpool."

This is not the first award Maddie has received after picking up Start-Up Business of the Year in the West Midlands and Best New Independent Business at the Boutique Awards in London in 2022.
Maddie's businesses are based in Whitchurch's high street and “are more than just retail outlets” focusing on sustainable practices and community involvement.
This has led to Maddie earning B-Corp accreditation for her commitment to ethical business practices. Through her innovative approach to retail, she seeks to inspire and empower customers to embrace greener purchasing habits, ensuring a brighter, more sustainable future for generations to come.
As Maddie prepares to journey to Blackpool to meet other regional finalists and celebrate her achievements, she extended a warm invitation to the community to visit MOO and BOOM and JB and BOOM.
"You are very welcome to join us on our journey toward a more sustainable, vibrant future for Whitchurch and beyond," she added.
