The A41 near Whitchurch is closed in both directions this afternoon after a lorry hit the central reservation.
Shropshire Fire And Rescue Service confirmed that the road traffic collision had occurred at Prees Heath, with a call being made to the service at 1.12pm on Saturday, May 18.
Four fire appliances including the rescue tender have been mobilised from Hodnet, Wellington, Wem and Whitchurch.
An Operations officer is also in attendance at the scene.
A statement on the service's incident log reads: "HGV collided into central reservation on the A41 Dual Carriageway between Prees Heath and Whitchurch. Road has been closed in both directions."
Traffic service Inrix says the road is partially blocked following the incident.
