A new shop was a big hit on its opening day in Whitchurch town centre.
The new luxury nail boutique “Plagued with Gelousy”, which has just opened on Watergate Street said it had a “great response” on its opening day.
Owner Diana Lauren said that “the event went great” and that people were so enthusiastic they were kept open until late in the evening.

“It was very much a local business event,” said Diana. “We got a great response from the Whitchurch local community and local businesses alike.
“The deputy mayor very kindly attended with her daughter, she was excited to have another female led business in the community.”
“All in all the event went extremely well and lasted a lot longer then we expected, we closed up about midnight.”
The new salon has said it will be a unique experience where “where creativity meets care for your nails.”
In a statement on social media Whitchurch Town Council wished Diana good luck with her new business and said: “Whitchurch Deputy Mayor, Cllr Rose Hall, today had the honour of officially welcoming the latest business to town, Plagued With Gelousy - a new nail boutique in Watergate.
“Huge congratulations, Dee and we wish you every success with your new venture.”
Plagued with Gelousy will be open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and appointments will be available on a Saturday.
