A Shropshire school have given pupils and staff the chance to interact with employers during their annual Aspire Day.
Tilstock CE Primary School's Aspire Day allows children to learn about various job roles within the community, inspiring them for future careers.
On June 5, employers from a variety of fields, including the Leisure Club at the Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, the Shropshire Wildlife Trust, and the West Midlands Ambulance Service, attended the event.
The children had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations about different career paths, helping them to start considering potential future professions.
Pupils and staff appreciated the chance to learn first-hand from professionals in various fields.
Representatives shared valuable insights about their roles and answered numerous questions from the pupils.
Headteacher Mrs Kaminski expressed her gratitude to all the organisations involved, praising the positive impact the event had on her pupils.
She said: "Our Aspire Day inspires pupils by showing them a variety of professions.
"Meeting role models from different industries can raise aspirations, link learning to future skills, and provide insights into what various jobs entail, the skills required, and the pathway to get there.
"Aspire is also one of our core values here at Tilstock, to direct one’s hopes or ambitions towards achieving something, and so initiatives like this play an important part in encouraging our pupils to ‘shine bright and reach for the stars’.
"Many thanks to the organisations who came along to support us – it really does have a positive impact on our pupils."
