Whitchurch Little Theatre Group’s annual Summer Tour of two one-act comedies is taking place later this month.

Shows will be held in Prees, Tilstock, Marbury, and Whitchurch.

The first comedy is ‘Almost The Birthday Party’ directed by the debutant, Isaac Radford.

The storyline follows Kenny and Vern, who get more than they expected when they try to find new friends by invite strangers to their house for a play reading group.

This eventually leads to a visit from Mrs Percival and recounting an absurd first rehearsal.

Next up, ‘Murder on a Budget’ directed by Jason Wainwright will be performed.

The legendary character, Inspector Drake played by Nigel Davies, returns to investigate a bizarre murder in a manor house.

The comedy described as a farce/mystery/thriller, promises a good time.

The cast also includes Alan Scutt, Cat Taylor, Karin Goddard, Adam Williams, Wendy Brisbourne, Natalie Stevenson, Gary Bailey, Jenny Matthews, and Sarah Radford, while Ethna Norris makes her debut.

The opening night is set to be at The Talbot Theatre in Whitchurch's Leisure Centre, Sir John Talbot’s School, on Tuesday, June 25.

The tour continues in Tilstock on Thursday, June 20 at the village hall, moving to Marbury Village Hall on Thursday, June 27 and concludes in Prees at the Village Hall on Friday, June 28.
