A charity shop in Whitchurch is urgently looking for new volunteers to help them with several tasks.

The shop belongs to the national brain injury charity, Headway, which is calling for individuals to lend a hand with the shop duties.

This includes jobs such as welcoming customers, sorting donations, seving shoppers, and maintaining a clean shop floor.

Head of retail at Headway, David Byrne, said: "Our Headway Whitchurch shop is very busy, so we desperately need more kind, positive people to join our much-valued team.

"No experience is necessary, and we would be really happy to provide volunteers with training and support."

In the UK alone, around 350,000 people every year end up in hospital due to a brain injury.

Headway plays a crucial role by providing support, advocacy, and information services to survivors and their families.

The funds raised from their charity shops contribute to the continuation of these services.

Mr Byrne added: "The money raised from sales in our charity shops ensures that we can continue to offer vital support to those affected by brain injury.

"Volunteering is also a fantastic way to learn new skills, make new friends, and to feel more connected to your community.

"We'd love to hear from you if you can spare us a few hours a week.

"You will become an important part of helping improve life after brain injury."
