Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash led to the death of a 19-year-old.

West Mercia Police have put out an appeal after the death of a teenage motorcyclist near Harmer Hill earlier this week.

The police have said that the crash took place on the A528 at Harmer hill on Wednesday evening (June 19).

According to West Mercia police the rider passed away at the scene after his bike left the road and ended up colliding with a tree.

Police are now asking for anyone who may have footage which could help them with their inquiries.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We’re appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A528 at Harmer Hill in Shropshire overnight on Wednesday.

“At around midnight on Wednesday 19 June a Suzuki RV125 motorcycle left the road and collided with a tree. 

“The rider, a 19-year-old man, sadly died at the scene.

“We’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision or have dash-cam footage which shows it. 

“We’re also keen to hear from any local residents who may have CCTV or video doorbell footage showing the collision on the motorcycle in the moments beforehand.”
