SHOPPERS who used Whitchurch Rotary Club’s pop-up shop in Green End have been thanked by members.
The pop-up shop happens once a year and funds taken from the store are used to provide free prostate cancer testing in the town.
The cancer testing, which takes place at Whitchurch Rugby Club in Edgeley Road, has proven to be a big success with men over 50 who have been referred to doctors as a result of the work by the Rotary Club.

They said: “Whitchurch Rotary would like to thank all the people who donated to their pop-up Shop.
“Also, to all the many residents who called in and supported them.
“All the money made will be going to the fund that provides the Prostate Cancer testing.

“We would like to say a big thank you to Mike White, the owner of the shop for generously allowing Rotary the use for the two weeks.
“More than 950 men attended this year to take the test which was incredible; however, this comes at a cost which Rotarians work all year to fund.”
