MUSIC that brings together jazz, metal, R’n’B and even Bengali is coming to Whitchurch this Sunday.
Percy’s , in Watergate Street, is hosting Darnell Cole & The Vibe on Sunday (June 30) as the American artist and his backing players as part of their 17-date tour across the UK.
The Whitchurch venue has had a growing reputation for bringing top touring acts to the town a spokesman for the tour says ‘The Vibe’ is promising a great show.
They said: “Vibe will perform across the UK including sets at The Isle of Wight Festival 2024 and Maid Of Stone Festival 2024 in Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent, United Kingdom.
“Darnell Cole (& The Vibe) is more than just an artist or band, but instead is a groovy ensemble, that crafts music you don't just listen too, but experience.
“Centering around frontman Darnell Cole, and comprising of core members, Jit Chatterjee on Drums and Elliot Lawrence on Bass, this (primarily) power trio, was born in the blues and, raised in rock and roll.
“Their soulful music, often borrowing from other genres like funk, Rnb, Jazz, Metal, and even Bengali, will take you on an emotional and spiritual journey, and at the same having you shake your money maker late into the night.
“Wowing stages big and small, often leaving a trail of melted faces and uplifted spirits, Frontman Darnell Cole with powerful riffs in hand, and his merry band dubbed, "The Vibe" are on a mission to spread the gospel of rock, soul, and positivity.”
Darnell added: “I am so stoked to be back in the UK, a place where my music is truly appreciated.
“I'm looking forward to melting faces, spreading the good vibes like clotted cream, and putting the kettle on.”
