THE trial of three Prees men accused of drug offences will face a trial in Shrewsbury next year after a court chose the earliest date.

Jakub Molenda, 22 and of no fixed address, 22-year-old Benjamin Shannon, of Prees, and also of Shrewsbury, and Harry Taylor, 25, of Whitchurch Road, will stand trial for a variety of charges in March 2025.

Only Taylor attended proceedings on Thursday, July 11 – held at Telford Justice Centre – with Judge Laura Hobson choosing a warned list date of Monday, March 24, instead of a fixed date of June 16.

OTHER NEWS: 

This means that the trio will be told on the Monday whether their trial is going ahead.

The charges date back to between 2019-2020 with court appearances delayed by the Barristers Stike in late 2022.

All three men deny a mixture of intent to supply drug charges and also possession of criminal property.
