A FOUR-vehicle pile-up in Whitchurch High Street on Tuesday evening prompted all emergency services to be called out.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) firefighters from Whitchurch and Wem were joined by officers from West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) staff at around 7.20pm.
A SFRS spokesman confirmed that a rescue tender was also dispatched to the scene where it appeared that cars had been left on top of each other in the incident.

They said: “Firefighters used small gear to deal with the incident.
“It was an RTC involving four vehicles.
“No persons were trapped and casualties were left in the care of ambulance crews.
“Fire service personnel used small gear to make the vehicles safe while police also in attendance and a vehicle recovery was arranged.”
A stop message was sent to SFRS control confirming no further support was required around 40 minutes after arrival.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police confirmed they also attended.
They said: “We were called to a four-vehicle collision at around 7.15pm last night (Tuesday, July 16), in High Street in Whitchurch.
“No arrests have been made.”
