A McDonald's restaurant on the edge of Whitchurch is set for an overhaul after plans for a refurbishment were given the green light.
Doors, windows and drive-thru booths at Whitchurch’s McDonald’s A41 restaurant have been given the go ahead.
Plans were submitted to Shropshire Council in June this year for a refurbishment of the busy fast-food outlet off Wrexham Road.
According to the application, there will also be a reconfiguration of the restaurant’s car park with a new remote bin store – all part of the approval given by planning officers.

Mark Perry, in his report, outlined why planning approval was given and why it was not sent to committee.
He said: “The proposed development is considered to accord with the requirements of the council’s relevant adopted policies and no contrary opinions have been received that would require determination of the application by committee.”
He added: “The proposed alterations to the building and the fenestration are very minor and would have no impact upon the character of the buildings or the wider visual amenity of the area.
“The proposed bin store/ enclosure would comprise a timber fence on a low brick plinth. It will be located to the side of the car park adjacent to an existing substation.
“It is considered that the structure would have no detrimental impact on the building or the character of the wider area.
“The proposed minor changes to the parking layout would not result in any loss of parking spaces.
“An adequate amount of off-street parking is to be retained and with a functional layout.”
