A man was arrested after a crash in Whitchurch where he was over double the drink drive limit.
West Mercia Police have said they have arrested a man who was involved in crash on Claypit Street yesterday (August 5).
Officers who attended the scene tested the man for alcohol and he was found to be nearly double the legal limit.

Police then immediately arrested him and took him to the station and charged him “driving whilst over the prescribed limit of alcohol”.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “Yesterday officers from North Shropshire Response Team D attended an RTC on Claypit Street Whitchurch. Upon arrival at the scene one of the drivers of the vehicles was found to be almost twice the drink drive limit.
“The male was arrested and transported to custody where he was later charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit of alcohol.
“A court date and likely ban awaits.”
