A VILLAGE sports club near Whitchurch will complete a remarkable feat this weekend.

Prees lost its men's and women's football sides two years ago but this weekend will see both complete their rise from the ashes.

The men's team has already begun its season in the Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier League with many of its roster stepping up from the club's successful youth ranks.

On Sunday the women's team will take to the field and complete the return of football to the north Shropshire village.
