WEM firefighters were called upon to do a job on Wednesday afternoon…and didn’t even need to leave the station!
This was because a person in need of help presented themselves at the station, in High Street, shortly before midday with a stuck ring.
A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokesman confirmed what action was required.
They said: “One ring was removed from left hand using ring cutting equipment.”
A stop message was still recorded with SFRS control confirming no further support was required, at around 15 minutes later.
