A Malpas care home has celebrated a resident's 100th birthday in grand style.
Prospect House Care Home was transformed with colourful balloons and decorations as staff and family members gathered to mark the centenary of Jean.
The care home made sure that Jean's milestone birthday was one to remember, treating her to a special meal made up of her favourite dishes.
The highlight of the celebration was a surprise royal gesture, a birthday card from King Charles and Queen Camilla.
- Whitchurch man's sentencing date for drug offences confirmed
- Recycling centres to stay open seven days a week for six months
- Whitchurch Civic Centre campaigner's call over public meeting
Jean was visibly moved by the beautifully crafted card.
Tracy Lumb, the home’s manager, said: "Jean is an inspiration to us all.
"Her 100th birthday is a milestone not just for her, but for everyone here.
"We wanted to make sure she felt as special as she truly is, and it’s wonderful to see how much she’s enjoyed the day."
As the festivities came to a close, Jean was surrounded by her loved ones.
