A FUTURE darts champion could come from Whitchurch if a one-off kids academy in Whitchurch identifies new talent.
Whitchurch Alport Football Club will be holding a kids dart academy session on Saturday, October 26 following an exhibition the previous night with ‘Rapid’ Ricky Evans who will take on competitors.
The kids day will be with David Pallet, a former PDC professional and UK Open semi-finalist who will work with kids aged seven and above.

Bev Allman, one of the organisers, said the academy day and the exhibition with Evans is a perfect double bill for darts lovers in Whitchurch.

“We have now held three successful darts exhibitions at Whitchurch Alport,” said Bev.
“We have the full experience walk-on music for each player darts songs.
“The professional also plays two local boys from Bethpage as well as 16 games on the night.
“The football players have also been known to play against the professionals.
“It’s great to have these evenings as it helps out the local football club and gives people the experience of a darts PDC evening without having to travel.
“And Saturday this time for the first time we have a darts academy the first for Whitchurch being run by David, who is a former PDC player, great opportunity for the youngsters to get some advice and guidance from Dave.
“Each child will also receive a goody bag on the day.

Tickets for the exhibition evening against Evans are £20 and doors open at 6pm for a 7.30pm start.
It will also cost £20 to secure a spot at the kids day with 20 spaces available overall.
