A CAR park next to the Shropshire Union Canal outside Whitchurch for the Whixall Fenns and Mosses is out of use because of water affecting a bridge.
A post from the Fenn's Whixall and Bettisfield Mosses National Nature Reserve on social media after heavy rain has hammered Shropshire since Sunday.
With more rain expected over the course of the day, with a yellow weather warning in place, staff at The Mosses have warned visitors to use different car parks to visit the much-loved site.
A spokesman said: “A warning for people hoping to use Morris Bridge car park.

“The current water levels in the canal are causing the bridge to not drop as low as normal.
“This is creating a significant ridge on the car park side of the bridge even when fully lowered.
“We recommend not using the car park today and using our other car parks (Shed Yard and Worlds End) if you wish to visit the mosses.”
