A CARE fire which then spread to a nearby hedgerow prompted Wem firefighters to be called out in north Shropshire.
One Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) crew from the town was sent south to Preston Brockhurst around 4pm on Thursday after reports of a car fire.
A SFRS spokesman confirmed the fire started in the car but then spread and that firefighters had to take important action to extinguish it.
