TWO people had to be rescued from their car in flood waters in a Cheshire village during the heavy rains on Wednesday.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) firefighters from Malpas were called to Streeton Mill Lane in Farndon, towards Wrexham, at around 7.30pm.

A CFRS spokesman confirmed that people had to be rescued out from the car.
They said: “Firefighters in wading gear rescued two people from a car trapped in flood water.
“Stretton Mill Lane has been closed at both ends until the water recedes.”
