AN EVENT that could see hundreds of sausage dogs in one place is making another push for more tickets to be snapped up in Whitchurch.

The Dachshund Extravaganza 2024 is returning to Alderford Lake, on the outskirts of town, for a fourth year and promises to a day of delight for dachshund owners.

A spokesman for the organisers made a call to arms for dachshunds owners from all over the North West and West Midlands to descend onto Whitchurch for a day of fun.

They said: “Our Christmas Dachshund Extravaganza returns for a fourth year and we are excited to host this year’s event at Alderford Lake in Whitchurch on December 1.

“Celebrate Christmas with your dachshund, a picturesque walk around the beautiful lake, a fun-filled day with your dog and lots of related stalls.

“There is a photographer and a dog-friendly cafe with a beautiful log burning fire.

“Come and meet Santa Paws in our grotto, enjoy free puppuccinos and come and meet the Woodlandax family.

“Ian Smith, the retired chairman of The Midlands Breed Council will be also be available for questions.

“If you have a friend or sibling of a different breed, please do bring them along.

“Ticket sales will be in aid of Dedicated to Dachshunds with IVDD, a fabulous charity.”
