AN UNATTENDED bonfire near Whitchurch led to Shropshire firefighters being called out on Friday evening.
One crew from Prees was sent to near the Waggoners Inn, in Whixall, shortly before 6.15pm after reports of a fire.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed firefighters took actions to tackle the bonfire.

They said: “There was one unattended bonfire that was extinguished by Fire Service personnel.”
A stop message was sent to SFRS control around 30 minutes later.
It meant that no further support was required from other stations in the area.
