TOILETS vandalised in Ellesmere last week could be set to reopen as the town council said that CCTV footage has been shared with the police to police.
The toilets in Cross Street were left with dirt smeared over the walls while wet tissue and water was left on the floor.
A town council spokesman confirmed that the identities of those who carried out the vandalism are with police and said that new opening times will be operating.

They said: “Thank you to the people who reported the vandalism at Cross Street toilets.
“The incidents were caught on CCTV, and this has been passed to the police. As this is now under investigation we are unable to comment any further.

“Unfortunately, the toilets are still closed.
“We are waiting for a quotation for the necessary repairs so that we will be able to recoup the costs from the individuals responsible for the damages.
“We hope that we will be able to re-open them tomorrow (Friday) and the new opening times will be from 8am until 4pm until further notice.”
