Wem's superstar comedian and presenter of Channel 4’s hit show Taskmaster Greg Davies has confirmed his ‘X’ account will be deleted.
The 56-year-old, who is currently on both BBC1 with his remake of a German comedy about a crime scene cleaner as well as his ‘role’ as the titular Taskmaster on Channel 4.

On Monday (November 11), Davies, a former Thomas Adams pupil, took to his own X account – formerly Twitter – to announce that he would be deactivating it in the coming days.
He tweeted: “Hello all, I’ll be leaving X in the next few days.
“Thanks for the lovely messages over the years.

The comedian joins a number of users of the site to leave after its billionaire owner Elon Musk took over in 2022.
