A COMMUNITY group formed against a planning application for 70 homes in Tilstock will hold a public meeting next week.
The group, called Tilstock Against Boningale Development, will be meeting at Tilstock Village Hall on Sunday (November 17) from 6pm with a high turnout hoped for by organisers.
Plans were submitted last week to Shropshire Council for the 70 homes off Tilstock Road after earlier explorations of a 50 houses and a potential care home.

And now the community group says that people who want to officially oppose the application will be given help at meetings.
A spokesman said: “As we feared, the number of houses has increased from 50 to 70 and it is a huge estate compared to the other three.
“We urge you to look at some of the documents on the website above but be selective as there are over 50.
“If you wish to object then we have lots of suggestions and tips, carefully thought out and researched.
“We are hosting an open meeting at Tilstock Village Hall on Sunday from 6pm where we are doing a presentation which will include the ideas and suggestions for you to take away.
“A good turnout will also show the council how strongly we feel about this. Perhaps therefore leave commenting until you have been to the meeting.

“If you can’t get to the meeting, we can send the information to you in due course. We have around three weeks from yesterday to leave comments.
“After this we are hosting two drop-in sessions for those who need help with the technology.
“We will have laptops and for those people we can upload their comments directly via the village hall Wi-Fi.
The drop-in sessions are Monday, November 18 from midday to 6pm and Wednesday, November 20 from 6pm to 9pm.
“We do not know who has bought the field next to the pastures, along Tilstock Lane near the railway bridge.”
