Stella Ashbrook of Moo and Boom said: “Together with Jane Gill, the ‘Journaling Queen’, we launched The Write Word back in January. It's been an amazing journey, collaborating with an incredible group of women whose creativity and storytelling have truly inspired us.
“We released our first publication on October 24, with an evening of celebration with Alan Scutt from the Whitchurch Food bank doing a presentation about the need for this in the Town and the increased use of the facility.
“We were thrilled to sell out all 100 copies within just two weeks, raising an impressive £1,050 for the Local Food Bank.
“One of the highlights for me was our workshops. They are full of laughter, tears, and shared joy as we brought our words to life. The talent on display, both literary and artistic, left us in awe.
“Here's to 2025. We're excited to sharpen our pencils, dive into our second edition, and create even more unforgettable moments, meaningful conversations, and inspiring creativity and raise even more for our Local Food Bank and Community.”
The Write Word group meets at Moo and Boom on the last Wednesday of every month.
