WHITCHURCH stormed to a 34-10 win at Droitwich in the second division of the West Midlands League on Saturday.

Whitchurch raced ahead with an early try from Alex Clarke who batted away the efforts of three home players to cross for an unconverted try.

Droitwich soon replied with a try of their own while Whitchurch saw Elliot Horton and Henry Hockenhull sent to the sin bin as they ended the half with 13 men.

Whitchurch hit back after the break with a try from Danny Nicholas who also added the extras as the visitors began to impose themselves.

Hockenhull sliced through to score a try which Nicholas converted before a lapse allowed their hosts back into the game with a try of their own.

However Whitchurch were not to be denied as Jake Rees crossed for two late tries with Abe Spragg also crossing the whitewash.
