ISAAC Vickery retained his West Midlands Cyclocross League title on Sunday.

The Wem youngster won the 12th round of the championship held at Walsall Arboretum.

The youngster took on a strong field of boys on a flat course and established a good lead.

On the second lap Isaac made the decision to sit up and take a breather and let himself be caught by the three riders behind.

With the riders jostling for the best position all four riders entered the last lap still with a chance to win.

Isaac will travel to Bradford on January 2 to race in the Yorkshire Cyclocross League in Peel Park before the last race in the WMCCL on January 8th at Chillington Estate, Telford.

Isaac will have a couple of months rest before the start of the cross country mountain bike season.
