ADAM Shillcock has called upon his players to fight for their shirts ahead of the new Midlands Premier League season.
Stourport Swifts visit the Yockings on Saturday with the Reds going into the game on the back of a 3-0 win over Irlam in the FA Cup first qualifying round last week.
Goals from Callum Knowles, Lewis Bloor and Adam Hailes sealed Alport’s progress.

Manager Shillcock said: “We have become synonymous with cup campaigns these past few years, but the real strength of a group not only lies in how good they are in one off games but how consistent they are over a 34 game season.
“We had an encouraging start last weekend but I firmly believe we are only currently at 60 per cent of where we need to get to at present. We have a greater strength in depth as a group and a healthy competition for places. Lads will have to fight for their shirts every week.
"The badge must mean everything and will need to be earned week in week out.”
Wem Town endured a Salop Leisure Premier League opening weekend to forget in an 8-1 mauling at Haughmond on Saturday.
Ethan Hanmer-Thomas’ strike was scant consolation as Cameron Murdoch starred with a hat-trick two and goals from Dan Walker and James Hall with Callum Robinson completing the rout.
Ellesmere Rangers were edged out 4-3 at NC United.
Asa Dea, Billy Pugh and Louie Millington netted for Ellesmere while Shaun Davies struck twice with Jordan Harkness and Liam Jones goals ensured the spoils.
Whitchurch Alport 1946 shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Shrewsbury Juniors with Joel Browne netting for the hosts while Ollie Sumner struck for the Reds.
Brad Davies struck as Wem Town Colts fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Ercall Colts Juniors Rangers in division one with Jordan Hall and Owen Shedden netting for the visitors.
Prees announced their return with a 3-1 win at home to Weston Rhyn.
Daniel Tinsley, Dominic O’Keeffe and Taylor Griffiths netted for the hosts while Aaron Coulson reduced the arrears.
