ADAM Shillcock had few complaints after Whitchurch Alport’s Midlands Premier League season opened with a 2-1 defeat at home to Stourport Swifts on Saturday.

The Alport manager said: “We were miles off the performance standards that I expect of the group. There was a lack of intensity and energy in the display and if I’m being honest a little bit of nerves such is the expectation we’ve set on the group to achieve this year.”
