WHITCHURCH Alport bid to pick themselves up at home to Uttoxeter Town on Saturday.
A solitary Joel Jones strike on the hour resigned Alport to a 1-0 defeat at 1874 Northwich in the Midlands Premier League last week.
Club spokesman Steve Lomas said spirits in the camp remained high despite defeat in Cheshire.
He said: “This is a game where we’d look back on it with differing thoughts, one where we came away with nothing when we deserved something, but the other part being it was a terrific performance against a good side and one this young set of lads will be buoyed by.

Wem Town’s miserable season continued with an 11-0 drubbing at Church Stretton Town in the Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier League.
James Hill starred with four goals while Matthew Cole struck twice and further goals from Tom Everall, Sam Jones, Alex Ryder, Nathan Thomas and Jordan Wells completed the rout.
Steve Hole struck four goals as Shrewsbury Up and Comers thrashed Whitchurch Alport 1946 7-3 with Kevin Renshaw, Alex Hughes and Shawn Melusi goals completing the drubbing while Sam Willetts, MacAuley Clifton and an own goal accounted for the Reds’ replies.

Ellesmere United eased to a 4-1 win at Frankwell Foxes in division one of the Greenhous Shrewsbury Sunday League.
Whitchurch Alport fell to a 4-1 defeat at Chasetown in the Staffordshire Women’s Premier League with a hat-trick from Katie Holmes and a strike from Ellesse Birkett settling the outcome.
